DailyEdge.ie rounds up the TV shows that you’ll be tweeting about tonight and talking about tomorrow.
Olympics – Rio 2016 (RTÉ2, 1pm-3.45am)
RTÉ2 has all the action from the opening day for you. Starting at 1pm, the coverage takes in singles tennis, men’s hockey (Ireland v India), beach volleyball, men’s gymnastics, and the first four swimming finals, amongst other events. Exciting! #RioOlympics2016
Saturday Night With Miriam (RTÉ One, 9.20pm)
It’s a very sporty night for Miriam also, as she’s joined by Paul Galvin, Derval O’Rourke, boxer Michael Carruth, and the Dundalk football team. Yes, all of them. Elsewhere, TV presenter Gloria Hunniford will chat about her friendship with Cliff Richard. #miriam
Men In Black (Channel 4, 7pm)
HERE COME THE MEN IN BLAAACK! Channel 4 is taking us right back to 1997 with tonight’s film pick – Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones star as two secret agents who hide the existence of aliens on earth from humans.

Oh look, more controversy from the CBB house – actor Christopher Biggins has been removed from the programme after making comments ‘capable of causing great offence’.
Channel 5 has not revealed the particular comments that lead to his removal – an alleged transcript of a conversation between him and housemate Katie Waissel went viral, but was since confirmed to be a fake by the broadcaster:
Whoops!
